The Mwendo Fellowship

Mwendo is a fellowship that gives 40 Kenyan Grade 10 students exposure to opportunities and clarity on their academic and career path.

• Foundation Week runs August 3-7, 2026 in Nairobi - a full day program each day, with ongoing support throughout the year. More details coming soon.
• This is a selective cohort of 40 students - you will be learning alongside peers who are equally serious about their futures
• The fellowship is completely free. Everyone who applies is also automatically signed up to the Mwendo community - a free monthly letter and library of resources for Kenyan students on opportunities, career paths, and what's possible.
• The application has 4 short essay prompts and asks about your background, interests, and goals
• All decisions will be communicated by late May 2026
• The application saves automatically as you go - but write down your 6-character code so you can return at any time
• We strongly suggest drafting your essays in Google Docs or a notes app first, then pasting them here when ready
• Please do not submit AI-generated essays - we can tell, and they will be rejected
